Purchasing Coordinator – Maryneal, TX
A major cement manufacturing operation in Maryneal, TX is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage plant purchasing, spare-parts inventory, and storeroom activities. This position works closely with operations and maintenance to ensure the parts, materials, supplies, equipment, and services needed to support reliable production are available when needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for a purchasing or procurement professional with experience supporting cement, mining, aggregates, heavy industrial, or manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate purchasing activities supporting plant operations and maintenance.
* Ensure materials, supplies, spare parts, equipment, and services are available to support production and quality goals.
* Maintain appropriate spare-parts inventory while monitoring inventory value and spending.
* Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders.
* Work with the storeroom to maintain accurate inventory and reorder records.
* Monitor inventory levels and availability of critical plant parts and supplies.
* Plan, organize, and manage purchasing activities and related budgets.
* Follow established purchasing policies, procedures, and standards.
* Work closely with operations, maintenance, vendors, and other plant personnel.
* Supervise the Storeroom Supervisor.
Qualifications
* 3–5 years of purchasing, procurement, materials management, inventory, or related experience.
* Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations strongly preferred.
* Ability to manage purchasing activities, inventory levels, and budgets.
* Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
* Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
