Job description

Purpose:

The Inventory Control Coordinator is a creative problem solver responsible for the inventory receiving needs for NEP Rentals including accurately tracking and documenting inventory; data manipulation and reporting. This position is a Monday through Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm, on-site at our Van Nuys, CA facility. There may be some overtime as needed to accommodate our clients. We prefer a person with prior experience in purchasing / inventory control. Knowledge of R2 software and Sage 500 system are a plus. Wage is $19 - $23 per hour.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Receives inventory POs and barcodes assets to enter into the R2 reservation system.
  • Creates product templates for all new equipment
  • Performs inventory cycle/physical counts for both serial and non-serial equipment
  • Receives parts & supplies that have been purchased
  • Coordinate the logistics for equipment repairs as needed for their warehouse
  • Retire/Dispose of gear in R2 as needed
  • Order expendables for orders in their warehouse as needed
  • Integrate with divisional inventory teams to define national processes and procedures
  • Crosstrain duties of Inventory Coordinator
Position Requirements:
  • Must have a general understanding of inventory concepts and purchasing standards.
  • Experienced in vendor contact and negotiation techniques.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel/Word)
  • Commitment to following documented processes and procedures.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills to cope with a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
