Job description

Lead Stock Expeditor

Receives, stores and issues materials, supplies and equipment. The Lead Stock Expeditor administers, under minimum supervision, the restocking of nursing units on a daily basis. Demonstrates the ability to unload and unpack daily deliveries in addition to inspecting and counting freight prior to signing.

Takes the initiative to notify Storeroom Supervisor if any shipments are damaged in transit. Makes sure to inquire on replacement and/or returns. Effectively restocks inventory to proper locations in the storeroom upon receipt. Makes simple judgments on filling storeroom supply orders and always notifies Supervisor on overstocked areas while restocking.

High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred. Hospital supply chain experience preferred. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks on a continuous basis. Some storeroom experience is desirable as well as past experience in a hospital setting. Basic computer literacy. Ability to exercise telephone etiquette.
