We're looking for a Purchasing Specialist - 12-Month Contract to join our team and play a key role in supporting store operations across the business. In this dynamic opportunity, you'll demonstrate your analytical and problem-solving skills to manage purchasing and supply-related initiatives, identify cost-saving opportunities, and help ensure stores have the resources they need to operate effectively. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, drive process improvements, and contribute to projects that enhance both associate and customer experiences. What You'll Do:
  • Develops plans and assists with managing $21Mn budgets for Store Operations supply vendors and ensure reconciliation of all invoices to budgets.
  • Oversees all invoicing issues including price adjustments and invoice formatting and reconciliation and collaborates with internal teams (field and GS&P) and third-party vendors to resolve issues.
  • Liaises with vendors to update supply catalogues as and maintains accurate documentation/ information on knowledge base and oracle to ensure field has access to most up to date supply information.
  • Monitors inventory levels, vendor performance and exception reporting such as out of stocks, no and/or slow-moving items, fill rates, and inventory trends to ensure compliance with TJX objectives and maintain service levels.
About You:
  • Minimum College Diploma or bachelor's degree in Retail or Business Management.
  • Minimum two (2) years of related retail operations finance and purchasing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management including strong organizational, time management and project support skills (maintaining detailed development plans for projects); understanding and applying principles of project control; ability to manage projects within one or more systems.
  • Problem solving skills including analytical and research and mathematical skills (identifying problems, analyzing possible solutions).
