Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Returns Coordinator to join our team. The Returns Coordinator will play a key role in managing vendor returns, processing purchase order adjustments, and ensuring timely communication across departments to minimize inventory issues and support customer service efforts. This individual will work closely with vendors, sales, and operations to identify damaged or slow-moving stock, pursue appropriate credits, and maintain the accuracy of our inventory systems. The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and aligned with our passion to MAKE IT HAPPEN.


Responsibilities:

  • Report shortages and/or damage to vendors and actively pursue credit and/or reshipment based on the specific need.
  • Communicate instances of shortage or damage to the sales team, particularly when related to backordered items.
  • Process return SPOs, negative POs, and ensure credit is accurately received and reconciled against the negative POs.
  • Request and manage quarterly returns from vendors to reduce dead and slow-moving stock.
  • Coordinate with the sales team when sell-through of materials slows, ensuring returns are initiated prior to vendor-imposed deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all return activities and credits.
  • Collaborate with procurement and inventory control teams to monitor stock levels and identify return opportunities.
  • Support other inventory and vendor-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business or supply chain preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in inventory, procurement, or vendor relations preferred.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with Epicor Eclipse or similar ERP system a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, vendor credits, and inventory reconciliation preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • May occasionally visit warehouse locations to verify materials or coordinate returns.
