Job Summary: Provides general administrative support for Purchasing & Estimating department, assists in the maintenance of costing and sales pricing information, and aides in the development of housing budgets. Performs routine assigned tasks using basic office skills in conjunction with direction from supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides general administrative support for costing department including routine processing of correspondence from rough or revised draft, data entry, preparation and/or maintenance of miscellaneous reports and vendor files. 
  • Assists costing team in verifying and compiling reporting and analysis.
  •  Process start orders, change orders, supplier assignment changes and update Purchase Orders, reconcile invoices and research past due statements.
  • Performs additional assignments as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

Minimum Education Experience: High school graduate with basic academic and practical skills gained through school curriculum combined with at least one year of related work experience and/or training; general knowledge of administrative skills and office functions.

Skills and Abilities: General office and administrative skills to assist in the processing of departmental workflow. Customer service oriented with professional and courteous attitude. Good verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of organization; ability to follow oral and written instructions. Good working knowledge of word processing, estimating and spreadsheet software packages.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements: Office environment.
