Job description

Role Overview
Maintenance Purchaser will support daily procurement and inventory management activities within the Maintenance Department. This role is responsible for executing key purchasing processes, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and collaborating with vendors to ensure timely order fulfillment. The successful candidate will demonstrate precision, initiative, and adaptability.
Responsibilities:
  • Create, manage, and track purchase orders (POs) for maintenance, repair, and operational (MRO) supplies, including parts, tools, and vendor services.
  • Manage inventory levels for critical spare parts, performing cycle counts to ensure accuracy and setting minimum stock levels for reordering.
  • Research suppliers, solicit quotes, negotiate pricing, and maintain positive relationships for timely delivery, often including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
  • Adhere to maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving initiatives on parts and services.
  • Review monthly OSB spend data to track trends, communicate errors & identify improvement opportunities.
  • Work with maintenance technicians, planners (engineers), and planners to source necessary parts and resolve discrepancies in deliveries.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems (SAP) to log purchases, update part numbers, and verify vendor invoices.
  • Manage and Maintain Kodak SER process for Capital project work

Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and ERP/CMMS systems (SAP)
• Familiarity with MRO parts, mechanical/electrical components, and industrial machinery is a plus
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Potential to have purchasing responsibilities in multiple buildings within Kodak Park.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
