Full-Time Punch Out / Maintenance Technician needed for a Luxury Apartment Community in Lakeland. Position starts immediately.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We're looking for the absolute best and brightest to join our team of dedicated professionals as a full-time Punch Out / Maintenance Technician at our residential apartment community located in Lakeland, Florida. Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for all aspects of maintenance for our amenities, grounds and the apartment homes our residents live in.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Work Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00 and rotating Saturdays as needed.

· Complete maintenance work orders for residents including but not limited to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry wall, painting, building exteriors, and appliances.

· Prepare vacant apartments to make ready status by completing the punch out process and getting it back to move in ready status

· Respond and resolve emergency maintenance requests after hours including evenings, weekends and holidays (additional pay will be given)

· Be mindful of expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts, when possible.

· Complete documentation and other paperwork in a timely manner so that service requests can be documented and tracked for completion.

· Support the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Director with any necessary tasks.

· Demonstrate customer service skills by treating all residents, coworkers, vendors and others with respect and following all Fair Housing Laws (training will be required).

· Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry or maneuver weights up to 50 lbs independently and 150 lbs with assistance.

· Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

· Prefer 1-2 years experience as an apartment maintenance technician or equivalent

· Refrigeration certification (type 2 or universal) or obtain the first 90 days of employment

· Trouble-shooting and problem solving skills

· Strong focus on resident satisfaction and receive resident complaints in a calm, open and professional manner.

· Ability to work evenings and weekends when on call

· Current Valid Driver’s License

· Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism
