Job Summary:
Tesla is a leader in sustainable energy solutions, and they are seeking a Technical Program Manager for their Energy & Charging Software team. This role involves driving program execution and collaboration across various engineering teams to enhance Tesla's energy products and services.
Responsibilities:
• Drive software planning and programs across weeks, quarters and years
• Regularly interface with the product leaders and ensure the software organization is aligned to execute on the most important initiatives while balancing competing priorities
• Consolidate inputs from across teams into executive reviews highlighting risks and opportunities, successes and areas for improvement
• Maximize engineering team velocity by limiting work in progress and reducing team context switching
• Provide project leadership, foster collaboration, bring together teams to solve critical problems, and drive initiatives to completion
• Enable high velocity distributed decision making by driving alignment of strategic goals
• Help the team find the process that helps them the most for structured work and communication
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proven success delivering great products in a role of either a product or program manager or engineering leader
• Excellent written and spoken communication
• A passion for solving problems at the nexus of products, engineering, humans and organizations
• A strong sense of urgency in achieving Tesla's mission through high velocity engineering
• Ability to synthesize complex information across organizations to drive decision making with engineers and executives
• Ability to rapidly understand high level software & engineering concepts as it applies to program execution
• Ability to practice principled, strategic problem solving
