Description
Our Quantitative Traders are passionate about improving the global economy by facilitating risk transfer and restoring order to prices. At Grupo Oricteropo Tropical, you will be called on to work with teammates to eliminate inefficiencies and manage risk in the world's financial markets. Our Senior Traders benefit from the resources and scale that our group can provide with its strong team and robust capital base to grow your effective trading strategy to the next level. The ideal candidate will have proven success and discipline in their trading strategies, a niche expertise, and excellent risk assessment and management.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize expertise in relative value market fundamentals, quantitative modeling, and risk management
  • Build and maintain quantitative model tools and analytics
  • Manage real-time execution of trading system
  • Collaborate with Senior Traders and Junior Traders to contribute to learnings and strategies
  • Mentor Junior Traders and promote their learning on the desk

Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in technical field and pertinent industry experience
  • Demonstrated passion for financial markets, finance, and trading
  • Deep understanding of finance, math, and statistics
  • Attention to detail and the ability to make sound judgments under pressure
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • A strategy that is currently and consistently profitable; we are open to all markets and asset classes ranging from physical to electronic in any part of the world
  • This position requires physical presence and is onsite at our office in Aguadilla, PR
