MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Proposal Coordinator/Desktop Publisher to join our team in Herndon, VA.

This is a hybrid remote position with onsite support in Herndon VA on an as-needed basis.

The Proposal Coordinator/Desktop Publisher is an experienced professional who leads coordination, scheduling, desktop publishing and logistical support, while taking primary responsibility for production activities on large, complex proposals. The individual supports multi-disciplinary teams by managing key milestones during the proposal development phases and is responsible for preparing deliverables that meet production quality standards, comply with solicitation requirements, and adhere to MANTECH's corporate branding standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assists with proposal planning, scheduling, and logistics support, coordinating the Proposal Manager's meeting schedule, and assisting with the coordination of activities across other proposal support teams (Writers, Graphics, DTP, Editors, Production and SMEs).
  • Reads and interprets RFPs and amendments to understand all instructions, evaluation criteria, and compliance requirements.
  • Performs desktop publishing using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat, and ensures graphics are correctly inserted into final documents.
  • Ensures strict version-control procedures and maintains ownership of proposal working files from Gold Team through final production, while setting up and maintaining Teams, SharePoint, and Box workspaces (including accounts and file permissions).
  • Prepares administrative proposal documents and slide decks (contact lists, calendars, kickoff, standups, and color teams), facilitates Graphics Kickoff Sessions, leads Production Meetings, and participates in Daily Standup Meetings.
  • Oversee all production and delivery activities, leading production efforts for color reviews and final proposal submissions (printing, tabs, assembly, binders, packaging, labels, delivery receipts, etc.).
  • Manages war room logistics, including equipment setup, loaner laptops, stocking supplies, catering needs, and expensing invoices.
  • Coordinates with security and IT for high-side proposal system access, guest visits, and badging, ensuring all consultants and teammates are approved and briefed prior to accessing proprietary information.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree) and a minimum of 4 years of related proposal coordination experience with proficiency using Adobe Acrobat, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Government proposals and the ability to analyze solicitation requirements that impact formatting and production.
  • Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Google Drive).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple, complex tasks and projects, working quickly, accurately, and efficiently under strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a positive, proactive approach and the ability to explain complex issues across leadership levels.
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends as required to meet proposal deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in classified environments.
  • Desktop publishing experience, including building templates and utilizing styles for large, complex Word documents.
  • Experience with APMP best practices or APMP Certification(s).

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $88,200.00-$147,200.00.
