WheelHouse IT

Fort Lauderdale, FL โ€ข On-site

Job description

About us

WheelHouse IT is a managed IT services provider headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, with offices in New York and Orlando. Serving clients across South Florida, Orlando, NYC, and Long Island. Over 80 US-based professionals. Putting people first, getting IT done. We also run WheelHouse Online, our digital marketing agency serving clients in healthcare, law, construction, insurance, and non-profits.

This role touches both.

The role

You'll own social media for the WheelHouse IT brand and manage client accounts for WheelHouse Online. Two mindsets, one person.

You won't be behind the camera. We have a dedicated content creator who films, shoots, and edits, delivering finished assets each month. Your job is everything before and after production. You decide what the brand needs, brief the creator, build the assets into campaigns, publish them, engage the audience, and report on what worked. Creative direction, not production.

This is B2B marketing. Our audience is IT managers, CFOs, and business owners deciding who runs their technology. If you want to build an audience of buyers rather than chase consumer trends, this is that job. We have brand guidelines and a written voice standard, and we expect you to work inside them. Inside them, the ideas are yours.

What you'll own

WheelHouse IT social (the brand side)

  • Social strategy across our channels, with LinkedIn as the priority. That's where our buyers make decisions, and it's where our executives need a consistent voice. Expect to ghostwrite for leadership.
  • The content calendar. What runs, when, and where is your call. The content creator contributes ideas; you have final say.
  • Publishing and community management. Comments, DMs, and conversations get answered.
  • Analytics and reporting. Every campaign has an objective and a number attached. You'll report monthly against three business goals: brand awareness, quality leads, and talent recruitment.
  • A hard look at our channel lineup in your first 30 days. Some accounts earn continued investment. Some don't. You'll make the case either way.

WheelHouse Online accounts (the client side)

  • Serve as account manager for a book of agency clients. Monthly strategy calls, campaign coordination, and reporting for each.
  • Translate client goals into work for our web, SEO, and content teams, then own the follow-through.
  • Keep clients long term by showing them results, in plain numbers, every month.

When a week gets tight, client deliverables come first. Brand social flexes, but it never goes dark for a month. If you can't hold both, say so early and we'll re-scope together.

How we'll measure you
  • LinkedIn audience growth and engagement
  • Marketing-sourced conversations and leads, not impressions
  • Publishing consistency against the calendar you set
  • WheelHouse Online client retention and satisfaction
  • Campaign reporting delivered on time, every month
Who we're looking for
  • Local to Fort Lauderdale. This role works out of our HQ alongside the team and the content creator.
  • 1-3 years running social for a brand or managing accounts at an agency, or a portfolio that proves you can. B2B experience is a plus; genuine interest in B2B is required.
  • Strong writer. Our standard is copy that sounds like a competent person talking, and nothing that reads AI-generated. You'll be tested on this.
  • Comfortable with analytics tools and native platform data. You form opinions from numbers.
  • Organized enough to run a production calendar, a publishing calendar, and a client book at once.
  • Direct communicator. You'll work with executives, an external production partner, and clients who expect straight answers.
Compensation and benefits
  • $45,000-$51,000 base plus bonuses
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Paid time off plus 7 paid holidays
  • Company smartphone
  • Company-provided training and professional development
  • Quarterly team events
