About the Department
The Public Relations team at Franklin Templeton leads global external communications, helping shape the firm's reputation and support key business priorities. The team works collaboratively across regions and functions, bringing together expertise in media relations, writing, and project management to manage media engagement within the financial services industry. Joining the team offers the opportunity to work closely with investment teams and communications professionals globally, gain exposure to global initiatives, and make a meaningful impact on the firm's visibility and success.
How you will add value as a PR Manager
Strategy Execution
  • You will develop and execute public relations plans that align with business goals and drive positive coverage while managing emerging issues.
  • You will develop and deliver timely, relevant pitch ideas and story angles to key journalists across financial and trade media.
  • You will monitor industry news and trends, providing thoughtful perspectives on where the firm can contribute meaningfully to external conversations.

Stakeholder Management
  • You will navigate a range of interactions, from day-to-day media engagement to meetings with senior internal stakeholders.
  • You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Public Relations team and external public relations agencies, contributing to shared priorities and team success.
  • You will work with Marketing partners to align messaging, content, and product-related initiatives.
  • You will coordinate with Social Media and Distribution teams to flag relevant media coverage and identify opportunities to extend its impact.

Media Relations
  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier financial and trade media outlets.
  • You will serve as a primary point of contact for media inquiries - managing interviews, press releases, and related communications.

Content Development
  • You will create and manage compelling content, including press releases, media kits, and talking points.
  • You will ensure all external communications align with the firm's brand voice, messaging, and standards.

Tracking and Reporting
  • You will provide regular reporting and insights to measure the effectiveness of public relations efforts.

What will help you be successful in this role
Experience, Education & Certifications
  • 6-8 years in public relations or corporate communications.
  • Experience in alternative asset management, private markets and/or the broader financial services sector.

Technical Skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication.
  • Strong focus on attention to detail, follow-through and execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in developing comprehensive public relations program.
  • Relationships with key financial media.
  • Experience working on deal communications is a plus.

Work Schedule & Location
