Job description

Description
The Fall 2026 Center for Women's History intern will work collaboratively with the Director, staff, and fellows across our broad range of public history projects, including exhibitions and installations, our blog, research in The Historical's museum and library collections, and our public programs. The intern will gain experience in historical methodologies including primary and secondary source research, writing for various public audiences, and public program planning and implementation. They will also participate in professional development activities with the museum's fall internship cohort.
The Fall 2026 program will run from Monday, October 5, through Friday, December 11, 2026. Interns must be available for events on the following dates: October 5, October 28, November 18, and December 9.
The intern in this position will receive an hourly rate of $17.00 for the part-time, 120-hour program.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a demonstrated background and interest in women's and gender history, a desire to explore public history methodologies, and excellent communication skills.
