The university is located in the town of Fort Valley in Peach County, the original site of the state's peach industry. These guidelines require judgment, selection and interpretation in application. This position develops library guidelines.COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK The work consists of varied management, administrative and supervisory duties. The variety of tasks to be managed contributes to the complexity of the position.The purpose of this position is to direct library services operations for the university. Success in this position results in the provision of quality library services to students, faculty, staff, and the general public.CONTACTS Contacts are typically with co-workers, faculty, staff, students, community patrons, representatives of other libraries, vendors, and members of the general public.Contacts are typically to give or exchange information, to resolve problems, or to motivate or influence persons, or to provide services.PHYSICIAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping.
