Job SummaryThis is an administrative position that performs administrative work at the Welcome Desk and Original Document Reading Area (ODRA) of the Georgia Archives . The position is 40 hours per week
Tuesday to Saturday.
Responsibilities1) Welcome, direct, and register patrons.
2) Explain policies and procedures to patrons.
3) Answer phone.
4) Processes payments using cash register and credit card machine.
5) Maintain assigned computerized databases.
6) Retrieve, compile, distribute, and refile records.
7) Arrange and rehouse records.
8) Assist with monitoring use of original records by patrons.
9) Scan and digitally enhance records.
10) Provide administrative support as necessary.
Required Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent;
- One or more years of related experience required.
Preferred QualificationsPassage of three or more classes in American History and/or Archives.

Completion of Georgia Archives Institute or similar.
Proposed Salary$28,679.22
