Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care with Reentry Social Workers and other institutional programs to ensure effective discharge planning.
  • Engage in mental health and medical rounds to discuss treatment plans and continuity of care.
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and ongoing assessments for young clients.
  • Develop and facilitate group therapy sessions focused on specific therapeutic goals, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation reflecting patient progress and treatment strategies in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in case conferences and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to strategize treatment plans for patients receiving mental health services.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to social work interns or student volunteers as needed, promoting professional development.
  • Complete psychological testing when required, contributing to comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with protocols for patient disposition to align with the appropriate level of mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically focuses on treating children and adolescents, an integral and vulnerable demographic that requires specialized care and understanding. You will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies that consider the unique needs and challenges faced by younger patients, including those stemming from familial issues, trauma, or adjustment disorders.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related mental health disciplines.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an LCSW in the state of California.
  • Strong clinical skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills essential for effective therapist-client relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 122,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
