Position Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-driven Construction Project Accountant to support active projects across multiple regions. This role is ideal for a disciplined financial professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the cadence of construction operations, and can balance precision with efficiency while safeguarding project profitability and cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage invoicing cycles, payment applications, and billing accuracy across multiple concurrent construction projects
  • Track project costs, budgets, and financial performance to ensure alignment with contractual terms
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including payment follow-up and discrepancy resolution
  • Administer lien releases, compliance documentation, and contract financial requirements
  • Process payroll reporting and support labor cost allocation
  • Coordinate and reconcile change orders with project teams and clients
  • Maintain organized financial records and reporting dashboards for executive review
  • Build productive working relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal departments

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting multiple construction projects simultaneously (10+ preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction accounting practices and project cost controls
  • Proficiency in industry and financial systems, including: Spectrum, QuickBooks, Textura, Bluebeam, SAP Fieldglass, Newforma, GC Pay, Procore, Ajera, Microsoft Excel, and Word
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to meet firm deadlines while maintaining composure and professionalism
