Job description

PSE LAB Engineer

Location: Fort Worth Alliance, TX
Department: Production Support Engineering, PSE
Reports To: PSE Process Supervisor, PSE Department Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time


Position Summary

Familiar with solder joint analysis techniques and related inspection equipment. Possess professional knowledge and practical experience in material composition analysis. Familiar with failure analysis procedures and related methodologies. Hold a bachelor's degree or above in a science or engineering field. Capable of reading technical documents in English and writing technical reports.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspection and analysis of material solder joints to evaluate welding quality.
  • Perform material composition analysis and provide accurate elemental content reports.
  • Carry out failure analysis to identify root causes and propose improvement recommendations.
  • Operate analytical instruments (such as SEM, EDS, Xray, OM etc.) and maintain equipment in good condition.
  • Prepare professional technical reports and share analysis results and suggestions with the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or above degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in other similar analysis job, including hands-on involvement in product failure analysis, qualification (Dye&Pry, cross-section) and analytical instruments evaluation.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical equipment (e.g., SEM, EDS, Xray, OM) and processes.
  • Knowledge in analyzing product failure root cause analysis.
  • Certifications preferred: IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
  • Ability to analyze root causes, and suggestions with the team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Creating and maintaining process documentation, work instructions.
  • Ensuring compliance with IPC standards and ISO/TS certifications.
