The Customer Sales Representative for Specialty Coatings will provide customer service support in an office/warehouse environment. Key responsibilities include managing incoming orders, handling customer inquiries via phone and email, and proactively reaching out to preferred end-users. The role will also involve coordinating with vendors and internal teams, providing inside sales support, and preparing orders for production. Additionally, the representative will assist with shipping documentation, warehouse duties, and maintaining vendor relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Manage customer service activities, including handling customer calls, emails, and inquiries, as well as processing purchase orders, quotes, and emails.
  • Assist outside sales teams by providing support on pricing, order updates, tracking information, and other inquiries.
  • Prepare domestic and international shipping paperwork, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
  • Perform occasional warehouse tasks to support delivery schedules and ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors for material purchasing.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor to meet customer service and quality expectations.
  • Process sales transactions in accordance with company guidelines using POS devices.

Additional Duties:

  • Properly dispose of waste materials in compliance with company and governmental regulations.
  • Assist with periodic or annual store inventories.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Physical Requirements: Approximately 60% of time spent sitting, 20% standing, 10% walking, and 10% performing tasks that may include stooping, climbing, or kneeling.

Job Requirements:

  • Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Training Requirements:

  • Required: Right-to-Know Training.
  • Recommended: VOC Technical Reference Course, DOT Regulation Training, Hazardous Waste Training.
  • Attendance at various manufacturer training seminars or schools, which may occur after hours and require occasional overnight travel (up to 5 days).

Other Requirements:

  • Availability to work scheduled hours, including flexibility as needed.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle for company business, with valid insurance and a clean driving record as per company policy.
  • Must be licensed to operate a vehicle according to state law.
  • Must adhere to all company and regulatory requirements.
