Job description

We also produce a comprehensive range of optical fibers, copper cables and connectivity for voice, video and data transmission for the telecommunication sector.

Responsibilities
o Define and drive site reliability improvement strategy.
o Provide technical expertise, data analysis, planning, and implementation to improve equipment availability and assess utilization.
o Proactively analyze plant reliability and down-time data to identify current and potential defects.
o Analyze work order trends, predictive equipment information, manufacturer specifications, documentation and failure analysis data to prepare operating and maintenance strategies.
o Mentor maintenance mechanics in reliability-based maintenance techniques
o Write repair plans and scopes of work for equipment repairs.
o Lead root cause analysis to evaluate the causes of equipment failures.
o Resolve and prevent reliability defects by removing validated root causes and verifying effectiveness of solutions.
o Lead the development and implementation of reliability-based capital improvement projects and cost projects.
o Work with Process Engineers, Facilities Manager and PM engineer to develop scopes of work and final design for capital improvements and modifications to process equipment to improve their reliability.
o Communication of reliability program efforts within the organization.
o Participate in Reliability Centered maintenance exercises and implement changes to improve equipment reliability.
o Develop maintenance templates for mechanical equipment.
o Assist Process Engineers and operators in troubleshooting equipment problems.
o Considers impact of costs on recommended action plans for avoiding/correcting problems during the design phase or remedial action for correcting reliability problems on installed equipment; and performs root cause failure analysis to help prevent failures.
o Assignments are broad in nature and require appreciable originality and ingenuity for completing the assignments which have considerable latitude for un-reviewed action or decisions.
o Determines the cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with internal/external customer demands for reliability processes/equipment to avoid failures.
o These strategies are designed to maximize return on investment and provide optimum asset utilization with minimal maintenance expense.
o Follows company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
o Performs other work as assigned.
Key Requirements
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
o Good communicator, team player, and self-motivated.
o Adaptable to changing work environments and business needs.
o Good troubleshooting/root cause investigation skills. "Hands on" mentality. Desire to learn new skills and concepts.
o Originates and develops analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes.
o Manage CMMS all maintenance documentation, spare parts inventory
o Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports for defining reliability problems and makes recommendations for improvements.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)
o Experience in the design of process equipment and piping systems
o Experience in reliability engineering tools such as Root Cause Failure Analysis
o Green Belt Lean Sigma.
o Proven ability to work in teams.
o Demonstrated leadership and ownership in improvement efforts and problem resolution.
Qualifications
o 7-10 years Maintenance Engineering experience preferred but not required
o Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, mathematics or equivalent.
o 2+ years' work experience in manufacturing
o Project Management experience
o 3-5 years CMMS management
