Job description

  • Assist with management of tax compliance and tax provision process, including:
    • Work with outside return preparation firms to gather and report tax data for provision and return calculation, such as book/tax adjustments, UNICAP, state adjustments, etc.
    • Prepare and review tax packages for the US and foreign locations with input from the local controllers, provide to the outside preparer.
    • Maintaining and reviewing book-tax differences supporting certain deferred tax balances, effective tax rate calculations, tax account analysis and roll forwards, contingency and valuation allowance reserves and other tax accounting related matters for all US and foreign entities.
  • Monitor and coordinate with foreign entities regarding local tax compliance filings, transfer pricing analysis/support, cash and book tax forecasting.
  • Manage/ Review the reporting process of monthly sales & use tax filings and exemption certificates, VAT, personal property tax filings, state and local business licenses, etc.
  • Respond to and resolve tax queries, assessments and claims from federal, state, and foreign governmental tax authorities.
  • Various income and indirect tax audit support as needed, including information gathering, documentation, strategic planning.
  • Assist external firm with compiling transfer pricing documentation for yearly transfer pricing reports.
  • Perform tax planning and research activities in connections with business transactions, changing tax rules, and changing business processes.
  • Must be detail oriented and be able to work independently. In addition, working seamlessly in a larger organizational environment will be necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team and other departments outside of Tax.
  • Respond to any /all assigned projects and requests in a timely fashion.
  • Oversee performance of a direct report, including goal setting, coaching, and accountability for results
  • This role requires a hybrid office schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office to support team collaboration, problem-solving, and employee development.
