Job Description

Domino’s is guided by the values “Put People First” and “Doing the Right Thing.” We are seeking a motivated tax professional to support and elevate the management of the income tax function. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day income tax activities and providing tax compliance, planning, and provision support to the Director of Tax. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, collaborative team player, and effective partner across business functions. As a people leader, this individual will also be expected to manage, coach, and develop staff across all aspects of the function along with providing trusted support to the Director of Tax.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

(40%) Tax compliance

  • Manage all aspects of preparation and filing of federal & separate company consolidated income tax returns, including related US tax reporting for international entities, state income and franchise tax returns.
  • Engage outside service providers and lead the compliance for U.S and International returns.
  • Research and analyze the treatment of special or unique tax circumstances, law changes and update memo documentation ensuring an audit-ready position for the company.
  • Manage preparation and filling of non-income tax fillings FATCA, FBAR, Excise Tax and 1042 fillings.

(40%) Financial Statement Tax Provision

  • Manage quarterly and annual consolidated and separate company tax provisions and related tax accounting activities for all Domino’s entities.
  • Maintain and manage appropriate processes, procedures, systems, controls and documentation to ensure accuracy of financial statement tax provisions according to SOX requirements and preparation of 10K & 10Q disclosures and supporting analysis.
  • Ensure appropriate tax reserves and methodology employed for ASC 740 and FAS 5 requirements.
  • Assist Tax Director with matters related to SOX testing, documentation and best practices.

(10%) Corporate Strategic Tax Planning.

  • Review articles, news briefs, and other sources to stay abreast of regulatory and legislative developments
  • and make cost-saving recommendations concerning the treatment of Domino’s taxes.
  • Participate in special projects and assist Tax Director in the execution of the tax portions of planning projects including transfer pricing developments, projection analysis etc.,
  • Participate in departmental and special project meetings to provide proactive tax guidance, as needed.

(10%) Tax Audits/Inquiries

  • Assist the Tax Director in the development of audit strategies, identification of potential issues and administration of audit activities including resolution of income tax issues, appeals and/or litigation.

Assist Tax Director in managing all income tax functions

  • Assist Tax Director in managing all income tax functions timely with staff according to the OneSource Calendar. 
  • Assist Tax Director in the identification of ongoing training and professional development needs of the tax team and other departments on income tax topics where needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in accounting or finance.
  • Valid CPA
  • 5+ years of combined corporate income tax experience in a large corporate tax department (preferred) or public accounting firm whose duties involved advising clients on business tax matters.  
  • 3+ years of experience with ASC 740 accounting for income taxes required.
  • Experience with OneSource Provision and Tax Return software required.
  • Proficiency in online tax research tools and financial reporting tools such as Peoplesoft & Hyperion required.
  • Proven experience for excellent leadership, communication and managerial skills
