Position Overview

Protocall Behavioral Health Services Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our innovative telehealth team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to provide critical mental health services remotely, ensuring our clients receive the best care in the comfort of their own homes. You will play a vital role in promoting emotional and psychological well-being and will report directly to the clinical manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with primary care providers to identify, assess, and manage mental health and psychosocial issues as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic evaluations and providing recommendations for treatment planning.
  • Deliver brief, targeted therapeutic interventions for clients requiring mental health services, including handling crises and acute emotional challenges.
  • Advise primary care providers on the suitability of various patients for mental health interventions and facilitate referrals to specialty services when necessary.
  • Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment strategies based on individual needs and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement relapse prevention plans to support patients in maintaining stability and achieving their therapeutic goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient progress and treatment plans within the electronic health record system.
  • Foster ongoing communication with primary care providers to ensure cohesive treatment approaches and effective care coordination.
  • Provide educational resources and develop self-management strategies to empower patients in their treatment journey.
  • Act as a consultant to clinic management and team members regarding behavioral health services, assisting in program evaluation and outcome measurement.
  • Adhere strictly to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals and fulfill additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Counselor at Protocall, you will work with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from children to older adults, each facing unique mental health challenges. Our client population includes individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and other behavioral health issues. Attention to cultural competence and sensitivity is essential as you navigate the varied backgrounds and needs of our clients.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
  • Active and current LPCC license in the state of California.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, DSM-IV diagnoses, and both individual and family therapy techniques.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation and management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs and formulate effective treatment and care plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and client interaction.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience
  • Bi-lingual English-Spanish speaking proficiency is preferred, enhancing our ability to serve our diverse community.
  • Experience working with underserved populations or within a community health setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 87,000 – 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
