With our Protege Program at Farmers Insurance, you can become an agency owner in just 12 months or less and the liquid asset requirements will be waived! If you are interested in owning an agency but aren't quite ready to take the leap, this program is for you!
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Protege Agency Producer Program is designed to provide individuals an opportunity to grow their skills and
business knowledge to become a Farmers agency owner while working for an existing Farmers agency owner.
The Protege Agency Producer can learn from an experienced industry professional as well as have access to the
award-winning University of Farmers training program that is designed to help enhance knowledge and introduce
tools that may help the Protege Agency Producer grow as a business owner should he or she one day own their
own Farmers agency.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in insurance, sales, customer service, or other related fields is preferred but not required
  • Property & Casualty, Life & Health insurance licenses are required.
  • Desire to be your own boss
  • Coach-able
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Desire to continually learn new products and services
