The Sales Support Project Specialist plays an important role in supporting strategic sales pursuits to ensure Aprio is highly competitive in the marketplace. This is a hands-on role in which the person will work with client-facing deal owners across the firm to improve sales results by developing attractive, high-quality meeting materials and proposals in a timely manner.

This position focuses on proposal development, business development support, marketing communications, and strategic sales pursuits. It is not an IT project management, software development, systems implementation, or technical project management role.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop thorough understanding of Aprio's services and leaders of different industry groups and service lines
  • Coordinate and support strategic sales pursuits, including proposal planning, content development, pursuit strategy discussions, and submission management.
  • Consult with partners and business development professionals on pursuit strategy, proposal approaches, messaging, and sales support resources.
  • Lead the development of complex, high-value proposals and RFP responses, managing timelines, content contributors, reviews, and final submissions.
  • Collaborate with business development and marketing teams to create persuasive content that differentiates Aprio in competitive pursuits.
  • Develop executive summaries, win themes, client messaging, and proposal narratives tailored to prospective client needs.
  • Support client presentations, oral pitches, qualification packages, placemats, slide decks, and other materials used throughout the sales cycle.
  • Use AI and other tools thoughtfully to streamline proposal development, improve efficiency, and support high-quality sales materials.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experienceย in B2B proposal and sales support (ideally in a professional services environment)
  • Demonstrated experience managing proposals, RFP responses, client presentations, or other business development deliverables.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and content development skills.
  • Experience translating technical or professional services offerings into compelling, client-focused messaging.
  • Strong Word and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to format polished, brand-consistent proposal and presentation materials.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines, coordinate input from multiple stakeholders, and maintain quality under time-sensitive pursuit conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with firm leaders, partners, sales professionals, and subject matter specialists.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional services experience, such as accounting, consulting, legal, engineering, staffing, technology services, or similar B2B environments.
  • Proposal management or proposal writing experience.
  • Experience supporting competitive RFP and RFQ responses.
  • Business development, sales enablement, pursuit management, or marketing communications experience.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Design, layout, Canva, or other visual presentation skills.
