Business Development Manager
MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our petroleum construction client to find a first-class Business Development Manager to join their team in Toronto or Ottawa. The primary responsibility of this role will be to develop and execute strategic business development initiatives to secure new clients, projects, and market opportunities across the petroleum, industrial, commercial, and energy sectors.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:
  • Develop and execute growth-focused business development strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new clients and project opportunities across Ontario's industrial and energy sectors.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with key industry decision-makers, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with estimating, operations, and leadership teams to support proposals, presentations, and client engagement.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming projects to support long-term strategic planning and customer relationship management.
You should have the following in your background to apply:
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within construction, industrial services, energy, or related industries.
  • A strong, existing professional network within Ontario’s industrial, petroleum, construction, or energy sectors.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
