Job description

Overview
Administrative managers coordinate and support services to organizations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Management of the services that allow organizations to operate efficiently, such as secretarial and reception, administration, payroll, conference planning and travel, information and data processing, mail, materials scheduling and distribution, printing and reproduction, records management, telecommunications management, security, parking, and personal property procurement, supply, and disposal.
  • Implemention of procedures to improve productivity and customer service.
  • Acquire, distribute, and store supplies as well as dispose of surplus property or oversee the disposal of unclaimed property.
  • Responsible for coordinating the physical workplace with the people and work of an organization.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Associate's level degree in any technical or business management discipline.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
  • Two (2) years general experience in the field of management or operations of an enterprise.
  • One year of related experience in such areas as payroll support, performing clerical duties, word processing, filing, preparing correspondence, data entry, coordinating and scheduling meetings, arranging travel, personnel management support, records management support, creating and modifying documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point) as well as Adobe Acrobat.
  • Working knowledge of the Naval Sea System Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, and Fleet organizations is desired.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
