What We are Looking For:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Community Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations of one of our apartment communities in Battle Creek. This individual will work closely with the Community Manager to ensure smooth operations, drive resident satisfaction, and support leasing and maintenance teams in delivering an exceptional living experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay:
  • $20-$24/hr
  • Leasing Commissions

Schedule:
  • 9 AM to 6:00 PM (however hours may vary)
  • Saturdays required

What you will be doing:
As the Assistant Community Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Community Manager in all facets of property operations. You'll help ensure that daily activities are running efficiently, residents are well cared for, and the community is operating at peak performance.
Core responsibilities include:
  • Assist the Community Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the property
  • Partner with leasing and maintenance teams to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate unit turnovers and repairs to meet market-ready standards
  • Conduct regular property, building, and unit inspections to uphold community quality standards
  • Respond to resident inquiries and concerns, fostering positive relationships and a strong sense of community
  • Help manage budgets, monitor expenses, and seek opportunities for cost savings
  • Assist in reviewing rent collections, delinquency, renewals, and occupancy reports
  • Support marketing and leasing efforts, including showing units and promoting available inventory across digital and physical platforms
  • Maintain organized lease documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Provide general administrative support to the Community Manager and property team

This position will require you to work on-site at the property in Battle Creek.
