Phoenix, Mesa & Tempe, Arizona

Certified Apartment Staffing is actively seeking experienced Tax Credit Property Managers and Assistant Property Managers for apartment communities throughout Phoenix, Mesa, and Tempe, AZ.

Responsibilities

Property Manager

  • Oversee the daily operations of a tax credit apartment community.
  • Ensure compliance with LIHTC and affordable housing regulations.
  • Manage occupancy, resident retention, leasing performance, and financial goals.
  • Supervise onsite staff and provide leadership to the property team.
  • Monitor budgets, delinquency, vendor relations, and property maintenance.
  • Complete resident file audits and ensure compliance documentation is accurate.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and prospects.

Assistant Property Manager

  • Assist with daily property operations and resident relations.
  • Process applications, certifications, recertifications, and lease renewals.
  • Collect rent, manage delinquency reports, and maintain resident files.
  • Ensure all files meet LIHTC compliance standards.
  • Support the Property Manager with administrative and operational duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service while assisting current and prospective residents.

Qualifications

  • Required: Tax Credit (LIHTC/Affordable Housing) experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of multifamily property management experience.
  • Previous experience as a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager (depending on the role).
  • Working knowledge of HUD and LIHTC compliance requirements.
  • Experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, RealPage, ResMan, or AppFolio is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
