Job description

Legal Assistant/Paralegal

This Legal Assistant/Paralegal is primarily responsible for the areas of real property, estate and trust, probate, and guardianship, working with two firm partners in addition to providing occasional support for managing attorney and family law attorney. This position assists firm-wide with client experience, filing, administrative and legal tasks. The LA/P works closely with the other paralegal and legal assistant at the firm to ensure all case tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to meet deadlines and calendar effectively is critical. Occasional travel to post office or courthouse will be required.

  • Preparing & drafting of motions, pleadings, judgements, correspondence, and other documents.  
  • Drafting of discovery requests and responses.
  • Scheduling appointments, court appearances, mediations, depositions, & hearings. Maintenance of attorney calendars.
  • E-filing & recording.
  • Assist with other legal tasks as assigned by attorneys.


This position requires 3 years of paralegal experience. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines, and demonstrable efficiency and attention to detail in your work. Mastery of case management software, Microsoft Word, Adobe, Outlook, and e-filing systems is essential. Verbal and written proficiency are necessary. Position requires professional demeanor and respectful communication with clients, attorneys, and coworkers.

Job Type: Full-time, at-will

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm
