Job description

Role Overview:
As a Propane Technician, you will be the front-line expert for our residential and commercial customers. You will handle everything from setting tanks and running gas lines to diagnosing and repairing propane appliances. We are looking for a safety-conscious professional who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.

Core Responsibilities:
  •  Repair and Maintain: Troubleshoot, and maintain propane appliances, including furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and tank systems.
  • Safety Inspections: Perform rigorous safety checks, including leak tests and pressure tests, in accordance with NFPA 54 and 58 standards.
  • System Diagnostics: Use specialized gauges and meters to diagnose equipment failures and recommend efficient solutions to customers.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in on-call schedule to handle emergency leak reports or no-heat calls.
  • Tank Maintenance: Set above-ground and underground tanks, run gas lines, and ensure all installations meet local and state codes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Certifications: VT/ NH Propane Certification, Hazmat and tanker endorsements, and Medical card. 
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record. A Class B CDL with tanker endorsement is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience: 2 Plus years of experience in HVAC or fuel service.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in tight spaces (crawlspaces/basements), and operate in various outdoor weather conditions.
