WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Project Management Leadership

  • Drive and oversee IT, AV and network infrastructure components of the build-out
  • Coordinate with vendors onsite to manage any office move logistics
  • Track schedules, deliverables, budgets and risks; & provide structured weekly updates
  • Oversee meeting room and event space technology fit-outs
  • Support decommissioning and any equipment moves from existing office • Ensure accountability and proactive progress across all technical workstreams

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as primary liaison with local contractors, IT/AV vendors, workplace teams and any regulatory authorities
  • Maintain clear communication with EMEA-based leadership to minimize time zone delays or disruption
  • Provide concise, actionable regular updates to senior stakeholders

Technical Oversight

  • Manage multiple IT/AV infrastructure workstreams
  • Apply strong knowledge of office networking, AV systems and IT deployments
  • Ensure alignment with Intercom's IT and equipment standards

Compliance & Local Expertise

  • Navigate San Francisco permitting processes and union building requirements
  • Ensure compliance with local health, safety and regulatory standards
  • Provide assurance on union/building best practices in SF fit-outs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with construction drawings and schematics, understanding the functionality and infrastructure requirements for building and servicing client spaces with future proofing in mind.
  • Proven experience with leading teams through the design, scheduling, deployment and commissioning phases of conference rooms, event spaces, broadcast studios, digital signage, and other VC type deployments in an enterprise organization.
  • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleagues across multiple platforms including but not limited to Slack, Google Chat, Cisco Webex, email, and tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and solve project related issues, removing roadblocks for installation crews and construction teams.
  • Understand and maintain project budgets, adhering to strict guidelines.
  • Demonstrate time management skills with attention to detail, identifying roadblocks and next steps proactively.
  • Understand AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques.
  • AutoCAD proficiency level: Beginner to intermediate, ability to navigate, markup basic drawings and adding templates for RCP's, Elevations & floor plans.
  • Experience with project management software platforms in an enterprise organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Gsuite (Docs, Sheets).

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • 5+ Years Project Management Experience in a technical field (AV/VC, Networking, Infrastructure, IT Construction, etc.)
  • PMP certification preferred (or similar such as Prince2)
  • Excellent task management, verbal & written communication skills, combined with relentless follow-up.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment with the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, a customer-service orientation, and welcoming, helpful attitude. Able and confident to make decisions and be accountable for project deliverables.
  • Manage outside vendors on design process, integration efforts, adhering to rigid design guidelines.
  • BS or BA degree preferred.
