Job description

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Project Manager for our Memphis, TN office.  This is an excellent opportunity to join and grow EnSafe, getting involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients across the globe.

As a Senior Environmental Project Manager, you will lead and support complex environmental and geologic projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:

  • Lead multiple environmental and geologic projects, maintaining scope, schedule, budget, quality objectives, and client relationships effectively.
  • Lead and oversee field activities, including field documentation, subcontractor coordination, and health and safety compliance.
  • Plan and coordinate environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, and remediation activities.
  • Provide technical review and senior-level oversight of field activities, data interpretation, and conclusions.
  • Prepare, review, and approve high-quality technical reports, work plans, proposals, and regulatory submittals.
  • Apply regulatory knowledge to ensure projects meet federal, state, and local environmental requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior staff and support technical development across project teams.
  • Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal participation, and identification of new opportunities.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of professional environmental consulting experience with strong knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (current).
  • Demonstrated experience with conducting/managing multi-media environmental sampling (soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas), environmental site assessments (Phase I and Phase II), state cleanup program, and remedial investigations, and corrective action activities.
  • Strong technical writing skills with experience producing high-quality reports and regulatory submittals.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, including budgets, schedules, and client communications.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams and manage client expectations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
  • Strong analytical, criticalthinking, and problemsolving abilities.
  • High attention to detail with commitment to quality.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel.

Preferred Skills:

  • Professional Geologist or Engineering license(s)/registration(s).
  • Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and mentor junior staff.
  • 2+ years of related project management, financial management, or task management experience.
  • Experience with the TDEC Voluntary Oversight and Assistance Program (VOAP).
