Job description


A Project Manager/Leader job in Cincinnati, OH is currently available at Belcan. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field and 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry or other technology space. In this role you will be the project manager for large cross-functional and potentially cross-company engineering projects or systems for our customers.
Job Duties:
* Manage the development of new or revised proposals for potential or existing projects that s/he will be responsible for.
* Perform contract review upon receipt of new or revised funding and collaborate with the customer on resolution of any issues related to the contract.
* Document a project quality plan. Interpret the project scope through the development of equipment lists, flowsheets, layouts or logic descriptions. Initiates these documents and leads in their development or refinement.
* Lead team in the development of project scope, or develop it independently.
* Establish the project team. Communicate effectively with the project team to ensure that they understand the technical requirements associated with the tasks that they are performing.
* Monitor project progress to ensure that product will be delivered on time, on budget and with technical excellence.
* Enforce compliance in the terms of the contract, the project quality plan, project directives, statutory/regulatory requirements and applicable Belcan procedures.
* Provide technical leadership of teams of engineers/architects and designers to accomplish project tasks
* Manage changes to the project work scope.
* Coordinate between disciplines, vendors, and field.
* Provide overall project leadership, while building cross-functional teams.
* Interface with customers to define project requirements and deliverables
* Develop and execute detailed resource and project plans
* Drive the successful execution of projects and report results to Belcan and customer leadership
* Ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar
* 10 or more years of experience in the aerospace industry or other technology vertical
* 5 years of experience successfully managing complex engineering projects, a minimum of five major projects from start to finish.
* Experience using project management tools and elements
* Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed technical and program goals on multiple projects
* Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
* US Citizen
Preferred:
* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
* Prior experience as a Project/Program Leader on large multiyear projects with budgets over $2M.
* Experience outside of engineering, in other functions such as technology development, manufacturing, and procurement.
* Experience in one or more of the following: gas turbines, aerospace, power generation, medical devices, heavy equipment.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $104,000 to $124,800. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
