Project Scheduler - Data Center ConstructionJob Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to support the planning and execution of large-scale data center construction projects. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules throughout all phases of construction, from preconstruction and design through commissioning and turnover.


Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for data center construction projects using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software.
  • Create baseline schedules incorporating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to obtain schedule inputs and ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Track project progress and compare actual performance against baseline schedules.
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify potential delays, schedule risks, and opportunities for acceleration.
  • Generate weekly and monthly schedule updates, dashboards, and progress reports for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Review contractor-submitted schedules for accuracy, logic, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings with internal teams, contractors, clients, and vendors.
  • Monitor procurement and equipment delivery schedules to ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Support change management activities by evaluating the schedule impact of scope changes and project modifications.
  • Assist in developing recovery schedules and mitigation plans when project delays occur.
  • Coordinate schedule activities across multiple workstreams, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and commissioning disciplines.
  • Maintain detailed schedule documentation, assumptions, constraints, and project records.
  • Ensure adherence to company scheduling standards, project controls processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Support forecasting efforts related to project completion dates and key milestone achievement.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of project scheduling experience supporting construction, infrastructure, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects.
  • Experience developing and managing project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or comparable scheduling platforms.
  • Strong understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling principles.
  • Ability to analyze schedule performance and identify risks, delays, and resource constraints.
  • Experience coordinating with general contractors, subcontractors, design teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or data center construction projects.
  • Knowledge of commissioning, startup, and turnover processes.
  • Familiarity with project controls, cost management, earned value management (EVM), and forecasting methodologies.
  • Experience with scheduling large-scale MEP, electrical, and infrastructure projects.
  • PMP, PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), CCM, or similar certification is a plus.
  • Experience working in fast-track construction environments with aggressive project schedules.
  • Knowledge of BIM, construction sequencing, and integrated project delivery methodologies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.82/hr.
