Job description

Overview

The purpose of this job is to collaborate with the Private banking Relationship Managers across the footprint on deal structure, underwriting efforts, loan covenant compliance, exception reporting, past dues, construction progress to ensure loan draws are funded and loan documentation. This position will provide limited administrative support to the PB team when required.

Responsibilities
  • Practice loan portfolio management skills through practical application of LOB portfolio including project analysis, loan underwriting, proper risk analysis and identification of risk rate, packaging and presentation, renewal processing, loan doc prep and closing, collateral analysis, past due notice management, etc. Work with Audit, Loan Review and the OCC as needed
  • Monitors loan compliance covenant, exceptions, and past dues as well as monitors construction progress to ensure loan draws are funded and documented
  • Provide excellent customer service to all clients, internally and externally. Use experience-based expertise to provide customers and PB team companywide with answers to questions regarding policies, procedures, processes, and systems relating loan administration, platform systems (B2B/ACTion/LoanFlow/Atlas/M&I/LaserPro), compliance requirements, and general questions concerning commercial or consumer lending
  • Gather information and prepare loan application, disburse loan advances, accurately quote payoffs, order credit reports, pull financial statements, collect and review documentation for accuracy and compliance prior to submission for processing, work closely with Private Bankers in obtaining and approving collateral releases, complete file release Universal Commercial Code (UCCs), complete application for Letters of Credit, and retrieve and utilize information on sweep accounts. Assist Private Banking Officers with portfolio management as needed including but not limited to resolving and monitoring loan, covenants, and credit exceptions, preparing financial analysis forms as needed and other supporting documentation required for loan compliance
  • Provide general administrative support for the department. Duties include, but not limited to answering phone and referring call to appropriate staff, preparing correspondence, memos, reports, and loan maintenance requests. Adhere to the Sundown rule
  • Make referral to create cross-sell opportunities for all bank products and special services (i.e. not limited to Private Banking services) that would meet the unique needs of high net worth clients that this position serves
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma (required)
  • Minimum of three years (3) of commercial lending/credit experience
  • Actively involved in preparation and completion of loan applications and documents and of loan portfolio maintenance
  • Knowledge of Loan workflows and processes
  • Developed understanding of lending and credit approval process as well as pertinent bank policies and external regulations
  • Detailed knowledge of credit analysis practice and procedure
  • Ability to process and monitor loan applications to perfection
  • Knowledge of the various departments within the bank
  • Knowledge of Private Banking and Wealth Management organizational structure along with understanding of other departments who serve high-income and high-net worth clientele
  • Intermediate problem-solving skills

  • Minimum of five years (5) of commercial lending/credit experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Loan workflows and processes
  • Fully developed understanding of lending and credit approval process as well as pertinent bank policies and external regulations
  • Expert Knowledge of Private Banking and Wealth Management organizational structure along with understanding of other departments who serve high-income and high-net worth clientele
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
