Required Skills:

Solid understanding of project management principles and best practices. - Required

Experience managing multiple IT-related projects simultaneously. - Required

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to report to executives and collaborate across teams โ€“ Required

Proven ability to develop governance policies and administer project portfolios. โ€“ Required

Ability to gather and analyze requirements for complex projects. โ€“ Required

 

Description:

Our agency is seeking a dedicated IT Consultant to play a pivotal role in overseeing and advancing our project governance and project portfolio. As a senior member of our project management team, you will be instrumental in shaping project governance policies, administering our project portfolio, and gathering requirements for multiple projects.

  • Assist in the creation and implementation of comprehensive project governance policies.
  • Manage and administer the agencyโ€™s project portfolio to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead requirements gathering and business relationship management for several projects, collaborating with stakeholders to define needs, and maintain communication with the stakeholders for the life of the project.
  • Serve as a senior resource to agency project managers, offering guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor project and portfolio progress, ensuring projects stay on track and deliver timely reports to the CIO and executive leadership.
  • Independently run multiple IT projects for the agency, from initiation through completion.
