TRAVELING JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN (NATIONWIDE) 


Pay Range: $72,000 – $110,000 / year ($35.00 – $52.00/hr DOE) + Overtime

Schedule: Full-Time | Continuous Travel | HOME EVERY 3RD WEEKEND!

Location: Nationwide Projects

K&S Electric is seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. This position involves traveling to commercial and industrial job sites across the United States to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, prioritizes safety, enjoys traveling, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while collaborating with project managers, foremen, and fellow electricians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Install conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC, and flexible conduit), cable tray, wire, panels, switchgear, transformers, and other electrical equipment.
  • Perform electrical terminations and equipment connections according to project specifications.
  • Assist with power distribution, lighting systems, motor controls, EV charging infrastructure, conveyor systems, utility projects, and other industrial installations.
  • Test electrical systems using appropriate meters and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC requirements, local electrical codes, and company quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve electrical issues safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, customers, and other trades.
  • Complete daily reports, documentation, and material tracking as required.
  • Travel extensively to project sites nationwide for extended assignments.

Qualifications

  • Current Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific or reciprocal where applicable).
  • Must have industrial electrical experience.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings.
  • Experience installing conduit, wire, panels, switchgear, and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems independently.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the United States.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and varying schedules as project needs require.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Stand, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Perform repetitive bending, lifting, and overhead work.
  • Ability to work at heights using appropriate fall protection.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods.
