Job description

About the Role:
As a CBRE Material Handling Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, and the corrective repair of the automated packing and distribution equipment.
This job is part of the Material Handling job function. They are responsible for the incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts.
What You'll Do:
  • Drive a sit-down propane forklift to move materials and empty trash around the facility.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized while using the forklift.
  • Perform basic checks and routine upkeep on forklift equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Support safety and technical training when needed.
  • Take part in team improvement activities to help the site run more efficiently.
  • Follow department plans, procedures, and budgets.
  • Keep material-handling equipment in good working condition.
  • Locate and move the correct materials for deliveries.
  • Inspect equipment and report or fix basic issues.
  • Check that safety systems are working properly.
  • Follow set procedures to complete daily tasks under supervision.

What You'll Need:
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship).
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school education with 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to do physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, and climbing.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to follow instructions and standard work routines.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Basic math skills for simple calculations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience operating a sit-down propane forklift.
  • Forklift certification (CBRE will provide certification if needed).
