Job description

BW Industrial Construction is seeking an experienced California construction professional to serve as the Responsible Managing Officer (RMO) or Responsible Managing Employee (RME) for adding the C-21 Building Moving / Demolition classification to our California contractor license.


The ideal candidate should already qualify for a CSLB examination waiver for the C-21 classification.


Required Qualifications

  • Current or recent California construction industry experience.
  • One of the following:
    • Currently serving as the Qualifier for an active California C-21 contractor license; or
    • Served as the Qualifier for an active California C-21 contractor license within the past five years; or
    • Passed the California C-21 Trade Examination within the past five years and is eligible for an examination waiver.
  • Thorough knowledge of California demolition regulations and industrial/commercial demolition projects.
  • Ability to satisfy CSLB requirements to act as the company’s RMO or RME.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, battery, automotive, or renewable energy projects.
  • Experience working with General Contractors on EPC or Design-Build projects.
  • OSHA 30 and California safety experience.


Responsibilities

  • Qualify BW Industrial Construction for the California C-21 classification.
  • Provide supervision and oversight as required by CSLB regulations.
  • Support estimating, project planning, and demolition operations.
  • Assist with compliance, permitting, and demolition.


Only candidates who are currently eligible for a CSLB C-21 examination waiver will be considered.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Remote/potential hybrid role; Travel if required for project oversight, site visits, and compliance activities.
