Description
Position Summary
The Marketing and Outreach Specialist supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Wyoming PBS's marketing, communications, and outreach strategies. This position plays a key role in managing day-to-day marketing operations, including social media, email communications, website content, and promotional campaigns. This position works closely with the Director of Marketing, Outreach and Communications to implement campaigns, produce marketing materials, and support station-wide promotional and outreach efforts.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assists the Director of Marketing, Outreach and Communications in executing integrated marketing, communications, and outreach strategies across digital, print, and in-person channels.
  2. Supports the day-to-day management of Wyoming PBS social media accounts, including content scheduling, posting, monitoring, and engagement, in coordination with the Digital Engagement and Analytics Manager and Promotions Producer.
  3. Coordinates the development, production, and distribution of email marketing campaigns and newsletters, including content creation, formatting, scheduling, and list management.
  4. Assists in maintaining and updating website content to ensure messaging is current, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities and campaigns.
  5. Develops, edits, and proofs marketing and communications materials, including press releases, social media content, email campaigns, and other promotional copy.
  6. Coordinates the production of marketing and promotional materials with internal staff and external vendors, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with brand standards.
  7. Supports the development and production of the monthly program guide, coordinating with internal staff and external vendors to ensure accuracy and deadlines are met.
  8. Supports the coordination and implementation of outreach events and community engagement activities, including logistics, promotion, and on-site assistance.
  9. Collaborates with producers and staff to support promotion of programming and station initiatives across platforms.
  10. Helps ensure all outward-facing communications maintain consistent brand standards, voice, and messaging.
  11. Provides general administrative and project support to the Director of Marketing, Outreach and Communications as needed.
