Job description

SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, and ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and within budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Planning Projects

  • Reviews upcoming orders for readiness and accuracy, and finalize any additional details as necessary
  • Gathers and processes information to set up customer and vendor accounts needed for projects
  • Gathers and processes project documentation such as signed proposals, Customer P.O.s, change orders, and deposits
  • Assists in estimation of complex projects up to 20% of weekly workload

Executing/Closing Projects

  • Verifies project status and triggers product procurement in a timely manner relative to the project
  • Communicates material procurement information to customers or contact throughout the project
  • Coordinates in-progress changes for a project in an organized and timely manner
  • Reviews open projects regularly to troubleshoot or mitigate potential problems
  • Ensures all paperwork has been updated for billing in a timely and organized manner
  • Ensure that projects have been maintained within scope and budget before closing
  • Ensure that orders to billing in a timely manner

EDUCATION and /or EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Project Management, Business Management, or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience as a project manager or similar preferred
  • Proficiency in CRM or ERP software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organization and documentation skills
