Job Description:
This position has executive management responsibilities. Direct reports include project management teams and the structural steel detailer teams. The focus of this position is to ensure that teams deliver projects on-time, within scope and on-budget.

Education and Work Experience:
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architectural Drafting and Estimating or related field experience preferred.
  • 5+ years experience as a Project Manager in the construction/steel industry.

Essential Position Requirements:
  • Looking for a result-oriented self-starter, not only capable of working independently, but also as part of a team on a multitude of projects. Must be organized and be reasonably competent in Microsoft Office, with strong communication skills. Must be able to present oneself and deal with others in a professional manner.
  • Applicant should have at least 12 years in project management and experience in structural & miscellaneous steel.

Initial Duties would include, but not limited to:
  • Reviewing & understanding construction plans, documents, specifications and contracts.
  • Planning, Organizing, and Controlling large commercial building project.
  • Communicating with Vendors, General Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Detailers, Subcontractors and Company personnel.
  • Scope reviews.
  • Setting schedules and then monitoring project's progress and deliverables to ensure it is following the schedule.
  • Obtaining and approving vendor quotes.
  • Reviewing Shop drawings.
  • Overseeing shipping schedules.
  • Analyzing changes, then writing and/or approving change orders.
  • Assist in the training of Assistant Project Managers.
  • Requires occasional visits to sites.
