Job description

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an innovative and experienced System Architect to join our Haulage Business Units. The System Architect will provide strategic direction and governance for the overall robotic architecture, ensuring alignment with the Haulage Unit's product and service goals. Utilizing a deep understanding of system architecture principles and designs, the System Architect will design and create high-quality, reliable, safe, and scalable systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain the overall system architecture for autonomous vehicle solutions in the construction space, ensuring alignment with business, safety goals, and technical requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and manage system requirements from stakeholders, ensuring clear documentation and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create functional block diagrams and system architecture diagrams to visualize and communicate system designs.
  • Support Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) processes to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the implementation and testing phases of projects.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, System Engineers, Safety Engineers, and Project Managers, to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS

Education:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Systems Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in system architecture or solution architecture roles, preferably in the robotics, autonomous vehicles or construction industry.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex systems involving hardware and software integration.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of system architecture principles and methodologies for safety-critical systems.
  • Proficiency in creating system requirements documents, functional block diagrams, and system architecture diagrams.
  • Strong knowledge of autonomous vehicle technologies, including sensors, control systems, and communication protocols.
