Job description

Evans is Evans is seeking a STEM Project Manager to join one of their growing contracts supporting the U.S. Airforce. We are seeking someone with experience serving as the Lead Ohio Partner, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all statewide FIRST LEGO League activities. This role requires strong program management, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver high-quality STEM programming statewide.
Location details: This role is on-site 5 days/week in the Greater Dayton Ohio area up to 35 miles from Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio state.
  • Serve as Lead Ohio Partner; maintain relationship with FIRST and communicate program updates statewide
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all Ohio FIRST LEGO League (FLL) activities, including annual program plan and statewide support
  • Manage and support all tournaments (qualifiers and State Championship), including logistics, venues, staffing, AV, security, catering, insurance, and awards
  • Provide full support for WPAFB-sponsored events, including the annual 2.5-day State Championship Tournament
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage volunteers; maintain volunteer database
  • Support all Ohio FLL Challenge teams (ages 9-14) and provide training, guidance, and partner support
  • Lead summer robotics camps, tournament training, and program presentations aligned with STEM outreach priorities
  • Develop and maintain administrative tracking tools and program materials
  • Manage Ohio FLL communications, including social media
  • Oversee tournament trailers (scheduling, transport, insurance, maintenance, storage) and provide them for events as needed

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education is required plus 1 year of project management experience or 5 years of project classroom teaching experience.
  • An Ohia Teach License is preferred but a general U.S. state teaching license is required.
  • Experience managing large-scale programs or statewide initiatives.
  • Experience working with FIRST LEGO League (FLL) or similar STEM/robotics programs preferred.
  • Experience planning and executing multi-day events, tournaments, or conferences.
  • Strong coordination skills in coordinating logistics such as venues, vendors, catering, and event operations.
  • Expertise in managing social media or communications for programs or organizations,
  • Experience with outreach, community engagement, or STEM education initiatives,

The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Evans's total compensation package for employees.
