Work closely with Strategic Marketing, Platforms & Businesses leadership within the humanoid and robotics key vertical to strategically create, update and manage the new product roadmap. Ensure there is a healthy pipeline of products in development and that individual business’ project timelines align to the enterprise system level timelines. Work across Platforms and Businesses leadership to gain support on resource allocation and project priority as required to achieve enterprise level (system) product development objectives.

  • Work with Strategic Marketing to ensure product road maps are relevant and updated for the key verticals inside their responsibility.
  • Identify enterprise technical requirements and technology gaps inside their verticals and maintain this list to support technical resource planning / development as well as M&A lists. Help find external technology partners and affiliations that can help address the known gaps.
  • Scope and initiate product and system development projects that are larger and cross platform in support of the road maps. Work with enterprise and platform leaders on priorities and resources for the projects.
  • Drive the full cross functional project plan to the timeline and budget until the predefined hand off points, at which time the platform or business takes over. Support this transition and ensure the day-to-day business processes are working appropriately for future product line extensions.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Masters in Business or Engineering prefered.
  • Project portfolio management – Ability to maintain a robust and healthy pipeline of new products and cost reductions to existing products to stay ahead of market needs.
  • Project management – Ability to stay on schedule and elevate potential gaps with a suggested course of action.
  • Effective Communication – Communicate and gain alignment across leadership and working levels to achieve the needs of the key vertical.
  • Strategic Thinking – Clearly think at a high level to understand the current situation, define the desired end state and map a course of action that will enable achievement.
