Position Description
The Project Scheduler contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its heavy industrial customers by providing the project team with timely, accurate construction schedules during the planning and construction phase of various projects. Responsible for maintaining accurate construction schedules, conducting impact analyses, creating schedule recovery plans and providing updates.
  1. Reviews and interprets plans, project documents and other supporting materials to determine scope of work and develop preliminary construction schedules.
  2. Uses knowledge of construction processes and other resources to estimate phases of the schedule and prepare schedules accordingly.
  3. Incorporates other schedules and considerations such as subcontractors, customers, vendors, etc. expectations/needs into the master schedule.
  4. Reviews change orders and time extension requests and assesses their impact on the overall schedule.
  5. Provides updated schedules, analyses and other reports to the project team, customers and other interested parties to ensure the project schedule stays on track.
  6. Performs alternative schedule analyses based on change orders and advises others when making decisions.
  7. Creates and communicates schedule recovery plans as needed.
  8. Learns and uses CR Meyer provided software to prepare all required documents and project management updates.
  9. Participates in the active implementation of the CR Meyer Risk Control Plan for all projects and is proactive and enthusiastic about safety every day.
  10. Shares in the responsibility for maintaining a safe job site working with the customer, on-site staff, Safety Coordinator and the whole project team.
  11. Works collaboratively with the Project Manager and the rest of the project team in establishing, managing and communicating project schedules.
  12. Keeps the Project Manager informed of any situations that require attention and maintains open lines of communication with the project team.
  13. Participates in periodic updates and regularly communicates with the customer, project team, field staff, subcontractors and all other interested parties to ensure construction projects stay within specifications, schedule and budget through completion.
  14. At project completion, participates in project close-out meetings as needed.
  15. Properly documents completed projects to use as a reference in the future.
  16. Wears all assigned PPE and observes CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times.
  17. Due to project deadlines and demands, regular and reliable attendance is required.
  18. Completes all related reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
  19. Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
  20. All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Three plus years of experience in construction with an emphasis in large-scale civil/structural/industrial projects required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and utilize scheduling and estimating software.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project required. Procore a plus.
  • Ability to complete all CR Meyer training and perform job duties within safety guidelines.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer's Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, insurable driving history and ability to operate a motor vehicle following all traffic laws and safe, courteous driving habits.
  • Ability to travel to various project sites within the United States required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
