Job Description

ChenMoore is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Power Delivery to lead the planning and execution of electrical infrastructure projects across substation, transmission, and distribution systems.

This role is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing scope, schedule, and budget performance, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience within power delivery and a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver multiple power delivery projects across:
    • Substation design
    • Transmission systems
    • Distribution infrastructure
  • Oversee full project lifecycle:
    • Scope development
    • Scheduling and resource planning
    • Budget management and forecasting
    • Risk identification and mitigation
  • Serve as primary client interface, ensuring successful communication and project delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (P&C, physical, civil, distribution, SCADA).
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality engineering design packages in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor project performance, including:
    • Schedule adherence
    • Tracking Budget and profitability
    • Quality control
  • Support and lead proposal development, fee estimates, and contract negotiations.
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff and support team growth.
  • Support business development efforts and help expand client relationships within the power delivery market.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in power delivery projects, including substation, transmission, or distribution.
  • Proven experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Project budgeting and financial management
    • Scheduling and resource allocation
    • Client coordination and stakeholder management
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience managing projects in the 15kV to 500kV range.
  • Familiarity with engineering consulting or EPC environments.
  • Experience supporting business development and client growth.
