Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager to oversee Electrical Underground utility scopes for FPL infrastructure & commercial sitework projects. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of infrastructure construction, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with field teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage underground utility infrastructure construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Review and interpret civil/Electrical plans, specifications, and permits.
  • Managed permitting processes with local municipalities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Coordinated inspections and ensured all work met city and county standards
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address issues to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and local codes.
  • Prepare and present project reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and billing documentation.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing underground utility projects in commercial sitework.
  • Strong understanding of utility installation methods, trench safety, and local permitting processes.
  • Ability and initiative to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Office, Bluebeam).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
